Northbrook, IL Standard Cleaning: Dining Room and Baths

This recent standard cleaning was at a furnished home in Northbrook, ZIP 60062. The home has wide plank light oak floors that run through the main rooms. We dusted a formal dining room with a large china cabinet. Two bathrooms were also part of the visit. One has a tub with a striped curtain, and one has a glass shower. The clean was routine upkeep for a home in daily use.

Dining Room and Oak Floors

The dining room has a long table, six chairs and a tall china cabinet. We dusted the cabinet top, the glass doors and the carved trim. Each chair back and seat rail got a soft wipe. Framed art on the walls was dusted with a dry cloth. The bar cart was wiped around the bottles without moving them. Then the light oak floor was swept and damp mopped with the grain.

Hall Bath With Hex Tile

The hall bath has a gray vanity, a white top and gray hex floor tile. We cleaned the sink, the faucet and the counter around the owner's items. The framed mirror was wiped clear from edge to edge. We scrubbed the tub behind the striped curtain and rinsed the walls. The toilet was cleaned from the top of the tank down. Hex tile has many grout lines, so we mopped it twice.

Walk-In Glass Shower

The second bathroom has a long glass shower with marble look tile. We scrubbed the wall tile and the small niche shelf. The floor of the shower has tiny mosaic tiles, so we used a brush. The glass panel and the door were cleaned and dried to stop spots. We wiped the shower caddy shelves around the bottles. The white marble look floor was mopped right up to the door.
