Standard Cleaning in Glenview, IL: Bathroom Focus

This recent standard cleaning was in Glenview, ZIP 60026. The job covered one shared bathroom with a white tub, light tile walls and a long double vanity. The room was in regular use, so the clean was routine upkeep. We worked from the tub out to the doorway. That order keeps wet, clean areas from getting stepped on again.

Tub Surround and Corner Caddy

The tub sits inside a wall of pale ceramic tile. We sprayed the tile and scrubbed the grout lines with a stiff brush. Soap film on the lower rows came off with a second pass. The chrome pole caddy was wiped shelf by shelf. We also cleaned the built in soap dish. Last, the tub was scrubbed, rinsed well and dried so no drips were left.

Double Sink Vanity

The vanity has two sinks, a white quartz top and dark gray drawers. We cleared the counter, then washed it edge to edge. Both sink bowls were scrubbed and the drains were wiped out. The brushed nickel faucets were cleaned and dried to stop water spots. We wiped the drawer fronts and their long metal pulls. The wide mirror above got a streak free clean from corner to corner.

Floors and Doorways

The floor is large white tile with soft gray veins. Hair and dust collect along the vanity base and in the corners. We picked those up first with a dry pass. Then the whole floor was mopped from the tub back to the hall. Door frames, light switches and the towel ring were wiped. The baseboards got a damp cloth so the edges look as clean as the middle.
