Recent House Cleaning in Glencoe (60022)

Here is a second recent visit in Glencoe, ZIP 60022, at a different furnished house. This was a standard clean for a busy home that was in daily use. Most of the work happened in the bathrooms, which all had stone or marble. We also cleaned a guest bedroom with tan carpet. Personal items stayed where the family left them. Each room was dusted, wiped and finished with the floors.

Glass Shower and Stone Floor

This bathroom has a frameless glass shower and a dark brown marble floor. We sprayed the glass and wiped it clear from the top down. The tile inside the shower was scrubbed and rinsed with care. Next came the cream vanity top, the bronze faucet and the large mirror. The toilet was cleaned from the tank lid down to the floor bolts. Two white rugs were shaken out before we mopped the marble.

Powder Room Details

The powder room has a carved wood vanity with lots of small grooves. Dust collects in those grooves, so we wiped each one by hand. The stone counter and the oval sink were washed and dried. We polished the bronze faucet and the framed mirror glass. The toilet got a full clean, top to bottom. Then we mopped the dark tile floor and wiped the floor vent cover.

Guest Bedroom Refresh

The guest room has a floral bedspread, two nightstands and a tall lamp. We dusted the nightstand tops, the lamp shades and the chest of drawers. The upholstered bench at the foot of the bed got a light vacuum. A drying rack stood by the window, so we cleaned around it gently. Then the tan carpet was vacuumed from the far wall to the door. The bed was squared up so the room looked neat.
